Accepted (ED)

Stats:
  • SAT: --
  • SAT II: --
  • ACT: 31 (36s on English and Reading, though-- I had never seen anything like the science before! Really threw me for a loop)
  • GPA: 3.7 (unweighted)
  • Rank: Top 3%
  • Other Tests: AP Chemistry and AP US History from last year
Subjective
  • Essays: Good, sort of quirky though (which made me nervous!).

  • Ethnicity: Caucasian
  • Gender: …hahaha! Female
  • Applied for Financial Aid: Yes, and received some!

  • Advice? Commiserations? Feel like bragging?: Even though it’s been a few months since I found out, I’m still just ridiculously excited. I think my essays, though sort of random, gave a good idea of what I am really like. I interviewed, had an overnight, and indicated my interest as best as I could. To anyone worried about financial aid, make sure to call and speak to one of the counselors—one spent a good hour and a half going over things with my dad, and we got some more money once they realized there was an error in our FAFSA. I’m also going to be working next year to help pay for tuition, so that’s taken care of as well. They really take care of you!
