Leadership training at Smith

We brought our sophomore daughter yesterday for her HONS training this week so that they'll all be ready for you first-years next week. I glanced at the training workshops and forums, was really impressed with the thoroughness, thoughtfulness and empowerment of the topics and for the umpteenth time thought to myself, "How fabulous she's going to a women's college!"

I have a friend who, as a first-year, seemed to be the least likely candidate for house president ever. But not only was she elected to serve as her house's HP as a junior, they reelected her for senior year too! One of the things I loved about Smith was the shear number of leadership opportunities, in houses, organizations, and student government.
