| Getting into a Prestigious Med School from a not-so-prestigious State College
Everyone knows that state schools (especially if you are from that state) are a lot cheaper and still provide (roughly) the same undergraduate education and experience. But what happens after? WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO GET INTO A REALLY GOOD MED SCHOOL, LIKE HARVARD OR UPENN, IF YOU GO TO A STATE SCHOOL (that might rank #100 and below)?
I am wonder about this because I don't wan
t to rake up a huge undergrad debt going to a better college (higher ranked) like Bates but I still want to go to a very good med school like Harvard. So, is it possible to still get in if the undergrad school isn't all that stellar? If not, why? If yes, then what do I have to do in order for that to happen?
