Decisions Class of 2013

We're slowly approching the end of March and I'm sure everyone is waiting for their decisions. Well, I just wanted to post a thread for this year's decisions.

So, when will the decisions be out? Last year, the first decision that came out was on 24th March. I'm hoping something around that time as well.

All the best...

Any info on the number of applicants this year? I wonder if there would be any change in their acceptance rate or not.

I just talked to a girl from my school who's at St. Lawrence and works in admissions, and she said that the decisions went out last week...

I'm in international, so i suppose the snail mail would be taking its time, I'll check from their website and if the decisions are out, I'll ask them to email me or something as snail mails can sometime take a really long time...

A letter I received last week from President Sullivan indicated that applications were again high this year. He indicated that last year was slightly higher.

Thanks jelomom2003, that gave me some hope.
Do you know whether they will snail mail or email the decisions?

In the past, they have notified people by mail. A BIG US Mail envelope.

Do you know how the financial crisis has affect the university? Or, in other words, how worse the financial crisis has affected the university? Many other LACs have reduced their aid packages significantly! Also, rejecting most of the applicants who have asked for aid.

Don't know how financial aid will be affected but I do know that in the same letter I referenced earlier, they raised tuition!

Obviously, SLU's endowment went down (if I recall correctly, it was 13 million) but so did most all schools. It would be hard to believe financial aid offers will not be reflect this.

"It would be hard to believe financial aid offers will not be reflect this."

oops that should read "will not reflect this".

Last year, the adm. rate was 33%, so it sounds like this year will be slightly higher.

Good luck to everyone over the next couple weeks! I hope you all have choices that make you happy.

Thank you so much. I'll post my decision here as soon as I get it.

Best of luck to all the rest of the applicants!
