| Taking physics elsewhere can be a good idea. It might be easier than at Stanford, and it may free up your time at Stanford for other classes that you're more interested in. Taking physics elsewhere doesn't "look bad", although taking upper division bio classes elsewhere might.
Med schools will see all of your grades, like the way it looks on your transcript. AMCAS (the application service) will calculate your cumulative and science GPA and put them on the application too. You don't calculate your GPA "yourself". AMCAS does not see your major GPA. |
