okay never mind...maybe it’s easier just to ask you guys......
1) does it only not look bad to take physics outside of Stanford....I think I want to get rid of my 2 lab classes bc they will just be a waste of time( and I def don’t want to take bio 41, chem 35, chem 36 all together)
2)when med schools look at transcripts do they see how many letter grades you've gotten in each class or do they see the cumulative science and major gpa? I am confused.

and btw math 51H ...super fun...I recommend it to everyone!

1) no
2) they see the the letter grades, you have to calculate the cumulative GPAs on your own

Taking physics elsewhere can be a good idea. It might be easier than at Stanford, and it may free up your time at Stanford for other classes that you're more interested in. Taking physics elsewhere doesn't "look bad", although taking upper division bio classes elsewhere might.

Med schools will see all of your grades, like the way it looks on your transcript. AMCAS (the application service) will calculate your cumulative and science GPA and put them on the application too. You don't calculate your GPA "yourself". AMCAS does not see your major GPA.
