nice job, guys who got in. That's great. I also got deferred, in limbo now lol...for those of you who got accepted, what kind of stats do you guys have? And race and gender, if that's not too forward of me to ask. I'm just trying to get an idea of who got in and who didn't. Thanks.

umm... i dont think i got in b.c of numbers, but here goes:

from columbia, MO
Rock Bridge High School, male
GPA: 3.95, #27 of 624
ACT: 35,
SAT: 800m, 800w, 660r
5 AP's: 5 in each

spent 6 months on essays- they were pretty good- probably the reason i got in
I work about 30hrs a week, participate in MUN, math competitions, religious organizations, "peace jam" (a club for people trying to change the world's social "gradient of inequality" through small projects)... some others

o, and i've also finished 3 extra semesters of math at the Univ. of Missouri- through matrix theory.

considering that other's had almost the exact same profile as me from my school, some better by a lot, i think the essays were the real difference

good point. I probably should have spent more time on my essays. That's great that you're involved in all those ECs and still excel in school and in the extra math classes. So do you think you're headed for Stanford for sure then?
