i think the japanese/mexican background will help you...especially japan scholarhship thing....if you sent an additional letter stating your continued interest in stanford along with your midyear report, i think u might get in....the fact that u got deferred with a 1920 tells me that they are interested in you despite the relatively low score....i chanced u, so u please do the same for me
