Deciding btwn Stanford and Columbia

So I have the above decision to make, and I would appreciate it if people who have visited Stanford give me feedback since I have never been there. I applied because from everything I've heard about it, it just fit my college recs--Stanford was especially recommended by my counselor.
About myself: I'm Korean coming from sort of preppy-NY school though I really hate that label; I'm into skilled sports (like most Asians) like Tennis, Basketball, etc...
I'm not the party-animal type; I like to spend my weekends seeing sights or a movie, playing pick-up games rather than going to the major rave off campus.
I do love to support sports teams, which is part of why I chose Stanford--the athletic spirit is great.
And I do study like crazy, but I prefer to be loose and keep a low-profile.
B/c of college this year my social life is a wreckT_T, I'm trying to rebuild.
So all in all, is Stanford a good place for me?

Both are great schools.

Since you like seeing sights, going to a movie, enjoying an active social, art and entertainment scene, then NYC will offer so much more than Palo Alto. Especially if this is how you unwind, relax and escape.

For sports and other aspects, Stanford. If you already live in NYC, then perhaps a change of scenery would do you well.
