can someone explain the difference between the courses math 41, math 41a, and math 19? i'm trying to decide which one to take to fulfil a premed requirement.. i'm about to be a freshman in the fall
Well I honestly don't know what math41a is but the difference between 41 and 19 is pretty simple. The 20 series (ie 21,22,23) teach what the 40 series (41,43) but do so in 3 quarters instead of 2. If you're good at Math I'd probably just take the 40 series but both will do for premeds!
41A is the "ace" version of 41. Stanford School of Engineering
Hope that helps. I heard good things about 51A, but it was from a strong math student that was planning to do engineering.
