So good to find this site! My son and I are also flying from the East Coast (North Carolina). Thankfully, he attended both Admit Week and SNIP (Stanford Native American Immersion Program) so he has some familirarity with the campus. Our situation, because of my work schedule) is that we will pack one suitcase each (with all of his clothes) and then two carry on (mine with just a few things for me) and his with more essentials for him. We come in on 9/11 very late and will stay in a hotel with rental car. Saturday morning we will hit Target for dorm room needs. I have to leave Saturday afternoon late, so he will bunk with a Native staff member for Saturday and Native students move in on Sunday before Retreat. I thought I would just purchase a couple of cheap plastic crates to put the things we purchase in for easy transfer to Roble dorm. Hate he'll have to set up his room by himself but he's proabably thrilled! Does anyone know if Target has a similar program to BB & B so that we can choose the items locally but pick them up at the Stanford Target? He is taking a Mac but we are now trying figure out what to do about the phone. We have Verizon but have been told he needs AT&T Iphone. Expensive plans with that one.

haha most of that post was completely irrelevant to your question... plus, you already made a thread about this.

Okay.... Was simply trying to share our experience and enjoying (until now) what I thought was a community of support, encoragement and sharing. Sorry I somehow offended you or crossed some line of posting etiquette. Glad to move on and will.

yes, sorry for coming across as rude. Most of us use the forum for technical help, rather than sharing. Sometimes us kids forget to talk to adults on the internet like we do in real life, rather than how we talk with each other. :P i'm sorry, and i hope you don't stop making use of the forum.
