Moving-In Day Questions

OK, just wondering, but what exactly are out-of-state people buying for their dorm once they get to California? I'm just asking to see if I have anything outstanding not on my list yet.

And have we got parking passes for move-in day yet? I don't remember getting an e-mail about them...

shayonsaleh, if you check the freshman page for the UAL website, it says that parking passes and campus maps are going to be sent by mail. (Sorry that I can't ask your first question since I'm not out-of-state...just from SoCal).

as an out of state person - i have no idea what i'm buying for my dorm once i get there. ^^ it all depends on my roommate. the stuff i know that i'm getting there for sure is a bike and hopefully i'll split the cost of a fridge and/or microwave. my friend believes i should get stuff like an iron and organizers and such stuff from there to reduce the cost of my luggage but i already had a lot of those things. i can't say that was helpful but i hope it at least gives you an idea about your options.

I just got the parking permit in the mail yesterday. I live in Socal, so I might be closer than you. It should be coming soon.
