With about 20 days left until decisions, I thought we might as well start an official countdown!
Anyhow, I was basically deferred through REA, when I applied through Questbridge. Stanford is my dream, and I think I would keel over in joy if I actually got in! Anyhow, best of luck to all of us! But remember, we'll all end up loving the college we go to, if we give it a proper chance, and that's the most important thing to know.
@overachieve92: actually it's approximately (depending on timezone) 12 days, 10 hours, 42 minutes, and 25 seconds. But I'm already bent on the unfortunate notification of a rejection. I'm ready... maybe.. maybe not.
Well, I'm pretty sure that you (and any other applicant on this site) can live anywhere in the world, not just in Pacific time... Oh, and that timeframe is based on it being 12AM - not an actual release time. 12AM since that's when the 25th begins, obviously.
I'll conform to the assumption given just a little while ago. From what I can see (via Admission News : Stanford University), last year's decisions were indeed released around 3PM (Pacific time of course) - for RD.
Gahhh. It's getting difficult. Now and then I think about my application, how it's already been analyzed by the AdCom... I feel extremely anxious, worried. And then I feel fine again, knowing that I gave it my all and if they didn't like me for who I am, then so be it. Such a bipolar condition I've been living in. Sigh...
An email sent by Stanford earlier says that decisions will be sent out in an email :
"We know how hard you have worked and how thoughtfully and earnestly you have prepared your application. We look forward to reviewing your application and will honor your efforts by carefully and completely reading your entire application. We expect decisions will be sent via email from Dean Richard Shaw on April 1 after 3pm (Pacific Time). Decisions will not be released over the phone."
