Econ courses questions
I scored 5 on both AP micro and macro tests. Yet Stanford does not accept those credits anymore. However, I read (or heard) somewhere that we can petition to move on to a higher level without having to take Econ1A&B.
However, I'm worried that the expansion of Econ1 into two quarters means a signifcant change in the materials covered, and skipping them will leave me inadequately prepared for higher-level courses. Taking 2 quaters of introductory econ is very time-consuming and a waste of my bucks spent on the AP tests.
Did anyone ever take "American Economics History"? This course is extremely appealing, since it satisfies 3 requirements all at once. I would like to hear your opinions on this course. Is it mostly history in the guise of econ or is it very econ-oriented?
