| Wow, really - I didn't believe my friend when he told me this
His brother lives/works right next to the admissions building (He's a Grad student), and he told him about their frequent Friday policy
They try to release it on friday so that the inevitable flood of questions will have to wait 'till Monday!
Evil...I'm hoping I get in, but I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world.
How many of y'all are waiting for Berkeley tomorrow? |

| omg, I just looked at my app and found serious spelling and grammar mistakes and absolute stupidity. I did it in the wee hours of the night of the deadline, so it was total bs, fast bs that makes no sense. Would you guys say I have no chance anymore?
I actually hope I get rejected because I realize after I applied that i wouldn't want to go there, it is by all means a great school, just location issues. good thing i must up my app. So what do you guys think? |

| After seeing the stats of early admits, I'm not expecting anything at all. I mean, sure, I'm a hopeful and optimistic person in general, which tends to lead to crushing blows now and then - but there's no way I'm so invested in any one school that I'll sit on their wait list and hope, or anything silly like that. I'll get in or I won't; we'll see |

| It's been a long time since I sent in my app--mid-October, followed by a deferral. Man, even a rejection is going to be relieving; I just want to know!!
Good luck to all |

| I won't get in, but I'm hoping to get into USC. >_< They give way better finaid than NYU. =/ I already got into NYU. Still, I want to see the e-mail anyway. I think I have a .000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of getting in. |

| @ethanrt: No problem. Its Shruthi btw. And I have posted a link...
I dont think anyone is actually expecting an acceptance. Because, in all likelihood, Stanford is also bound to look at some other big picture, with respect to each applicant. So we can never be sure.... *Fingers crossed* |

| I'm in the same boat as you Nickel Xenon. I feel hopelessly sub-par for Stanford. I got into the two schools you mentioned (USC and NYU) and I'm actually kinda surprised I got a decision before you for USC (3/3). As I recall from reading your chance threads, the only weak part of your app is your SAT I... |

| Great. Just as start watching my alma mater play in the Sweet 16, the rejection will come in for my S (whose SAT's of 2240 will not be enough to make up for a 3.7 GPA). |

| I was accepted by USC, UCLA, and NYU.
Actually, my counselor got a call from Stanford a few weeks ago, so I hope that's a good sign. Like everybody else, I'll find out on Friday.
I'm hoping Stanford did not focus on my ACT scores too much and looked at my ECs, essays, and GPA.
To answer Indian's question, I am also waiting for Berkeley's decision; however, I would put Stanford ahead of Berkeley if I were to decided between them. |
