| I got wait listed as well.
So, what happens now? Is getting admission virtually impossible? Aside from a job, I don't have any new information. |

| Me too. Although I had a ton of new things happen recently that could boost my chances... When Stanford says that they "reevaluate" a candidate, does that mean our chances of getting off of the list aren't tied to whether or not someone doesn't accept Stanford's offer?
I must say though, that this comes as a huge surprise. After being flat out rejected by my ED school, and rejeceted by UChicago, I am totally thrilled that Stanford is at least considering me. |

| They waitlisted 6% of people says the website (link is from the email they sent). At least 6% is less than the people they accepted (9.5%). Last year, Amherst College waitlisted more people than they accepted, over-accepted and thus took 0 people off the waitlist.
Well, if you want to be optimistic, think of it this way: at least you're the top 15.5% of Stanford's applicant pool. You guys will all go to great schools, whether or not you end up getting into Stanford! Good luck! |

hah, well with a school in as high demand as stanford, i'm not surprised. i have a 3.3 and a 2010, but i'm a good writer, the only thing that held me back from a flat-out rejection. |
