Add another RD'er to the list. If I wasn't certain of my rejection before, I am now.

Any deferees get accepted/rejected yet? My theory is that they're doing the defers at the end?

You all may be reading a little too much into this. Stanford obviously cannot send out all of the e-mails at once; 25,000 going out at once would likely fry their servers. Also, to be fair, they did say 3 PM or later, meaning that they haven't actually broken any promises.
At any rate, I'm relatively sure the admissions office is a little bit too busy to spend inordinate amounts of time structuring their e-mail release just to mess wit the applicants. Relax, and best of luck to you all!

Listen, voices of reasons aren't allowed in here, this is purely an illogical freak out session.
...I'm just kidding, you're probably right. But it feels good to rant against Mr. Shaw and Co.

Yes, but they did promise it'd come out on the 28th. For people on the east coast, that's almost over.
It would be impossible to send 25,000 emails at once. But why do it by email, when you can check online? And even while sending emails out, they're by Silicon Valley.
Stanford's known for having technology, not lacking it.
Honestly, you're probably right, I'm just a little tired.

I agree that we reading too much into it, but it doesnt take 5 and half goddamn hours to send the emails. The vast majority of applicants have already heard and if they can send about 20,000 or so emails between 3:30 and 4:30, they can sure as hell finish it off in the next 5 hours. This is probably the result of some idiots careless error and that is what ****es me off.

Well, it's probably by pacific time, as most schools list decision times by their time zone. So, Stanford still has about 3.5 hours to make good on their promise. Although this SUCKS, they haven't technically done anything wrong yet.
