My D just got home from Admit Week, and she loved it! Everyone was really nice and friendly. The campus was beautiful and the weather just PERFECT!

She was at Harvard Summer School two summers ago and in comparing the two campuses, Stanford's campus is definitely more appealing...

FresnoMom-
I don't think it was one factor. D is from California and spent her last two years at an east coast boarding school, so wanting to try something different wasn't as much of a factor. Also, she is very independent-minded.....not likely to be swayed by the "Harvard because it's Harvard" mentality.

So in the end, I think it was a combination of what is available academically for a pre med/ biomedical major, the perception that students are more easy-going and down to earth at Stanford, and the fact that it is in California.

Has your S decided?
