Engineering at Stanford

Hey people.
I'm thinking stanford as my future university. I wanna know engineering school in detail. (perferably Mechanical & INTERDISCIPLINARY MAJOR IN AERO/ASTRO Engineering)
questions are such as
-How many ppl study in one classroom? (on average)
-Do Teaching Assistants usually lecture on intro level classes and Professors lecture on the upper level classes?
-workload of the schedule? courses? grading system?
-Interaction with professor/faculties?
-Research opportunities?
-Job & internship?

Thanks for your responses.

Good questions....

I would like to add - Do most of the professors and TA's speak good enough english so you can understand them?

And, how much added pressure does being on the quarter system make for the engineering students? Many of the engineering textbooks are huge and the material rather complex so how are you suppose to get through them in 4 or 5 fewer weeks than most all of the other engineering schools?
