Current Stanford Students: Math 50 Series or CME Series?

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to major in BME. I'm contemplating between the 50 series and the CME series.

What would you guys suggest? :-)

Just take the 50 series. I don't understand why people bother with CME to kill themselves.

Actually, could someone explain to me why people take CME?

During my stay at AW, I got the feeling that CME was highly recommended for those pursuing engineering majors....it's what I'll be enrolling in. I hope I don't die :[

I think I may do CME, because for my major I think I have to spend an extra quarter doing math if I do the Math 50 series. Please, more posts from current students.

Despite the "high recommendation" by the eng department, you'll fare just fine with the 50 series.
I'd say go with the 50 series, it leaves the door open for many other majors - you may just decide you want to be a math major after it, CME won't cover that.
