The admissions officer at my information session said that the interview program was basically an experimental method of advertising Stanford and its benefits to those who might not know much about it/be able to visit. Since their reputation is so cemented in California, they didn't bother expanding it there.
with that said, i googled my interviewer and hes basically a genius
a surgeon who attended stanford, then went to oxford, and last did research at harvard med
like really? could u go to any better colleges?
he sounds kinda a little intimidating even though ive alredy had 4 other interviews so far...
^That's really off-putting to me. I'd rather be interviewed by a down-to-earth everyday alumnus, but I guess I shouldn't judge based on credentials. :P
I think all the interviewers are somewhat geniuses... they got into Stanford lol
Mine is a retired pathologist... he seems pretty cool and down to earth though
Is Stanford going to weigh the interview in the application among other applicants? I hope they do... but I know that most people won't have this opportunity. Mine's on Tuesday - nervous but really looking forward to it!
Just had mine. Went really well. Interviewer said that because this is just a trial run, however, that it will not really impact admissions that much - to maintain fairness.
just had mine... it was pretty cool =D apparently this is only the second year, and this was my first interview ever, so we were pretty lost... like both of us haha
but the guy was very nice, so i guess it worked out
