Congrats! Hope it goes well!
Quick question: did you have all of your materials in? My counselor just sent in the Secondary School Report and transcript today and my 2nd teacher rec has yet to be sent (their laziness, not mine :-P)

i don't think so... as far as I'm concerned... I think as long as your part of the application is in, you should get an interview sooner or later... that is only if ur living in a major city
at least thats what I hear from people...
btw, is anyone else getting interviews in NYC?

wow lucky!
question: do you live in the city itself or like in the suburbs around it.
I live on Long Island and I was wondering whether they consider applicants within a 30 mile radius or so.

I gots mine!! WOOT! so excited, not going to lie about my level of excitedness!! haha good luck with yours. I have one question for those who did their interview last year.. what kind of questions did they ask etc. I know that you can find tons of info on other school interviews online... but there really isn't any precedent with Stan.

The interview program is just in its pilot phase. whether or not you get an interview is completely dependent on what city you live in/the availability of alums to interview. Its not a reflection that Stanford has reviewed your application/thinks your a strong candidate /etc.

I live in queens, which is part of NYC, even though it's not manhattan. But my school's in tribeca, which is downtown manhattan. I think i might have read somewhere that the interviews are based on where ur school is... mayb not lols
hope that helped

@BigMike... yeah thanks. we're already aware of that. but we still get one... so .... yup!
I know it's a pilot program, but this is the second or third year running, so that means that others have had interviews. I'm wondering if anyone on this site has had one and would be willing to share their experience.

hi. hanstuy - do you know if you have to submit your application completely first and then get invited for an interview?
also, just so i get a sense of the time frame, when did you submit your SCEA app?

u must submit ur entire application completely (and according to admissions, all other things must be received too)
"For the 2009-10 admission cycle the Office of Undergraduate Admission will offer an optional alumni interview to applicants in Atlanta, Denver, London, Massachusetts, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, and Raleigh/Durham as part of a small pilot interview program" -admissions FAQ

i submitted mine oct 12.. or 11 somethign like that,.... pretty early because I had to submit art supplement so I had earlier deadline than most ppl =] I got the email for interview like a two weeks or a week n half after i submitted everything
but i would assume that the later you send it in, later the response, or you might not get an interview if there r too many people etc..
