Yea, I agree. Looking at past results threads and seeing all the great accomplishments people had, but were still rejected, is incredibly humbling/terrifying. Usually, I just pray that they wrote very bad essays or had terrible recs to help justify the decision.
Anyway, I wish all of you the best of luck for all of your colleges.

^^^same. If I cant find an obvious excuse I just pretend they are arrogant d-bags, and that the admissions people classified them as such...
there are quite a few d-bags.
@Starmie I agree w/your statically assessment, the fact that we are posting means something and <3 you too
EDIT: aparently fully typing out d-bag is a ****** worthy word : (

Yeah. It's pretty random. Which is nice, because it means we don't have to take it personally if we get rejected.

Did anyone here submit ACT and SATs?
You know how axess tells you if they've received "SAT or ACT"? How do we know if they got both?

Yeah I sent my Early app about 2-3 weeks ago and according to Axess they have received everything except my ACT scores (and Subject tests too I assume), but I sent those the same day I sent my app. Is it supposed to take that long for them to receive my scores, I sent them online through normal delivery.

I hear it takes them forever to process stuff anyway. If in a couple weeks they still don't have it in, then I would be concerned.

Hi everyone! It's nice to know that so many other people are freaking out. Everyone else at my school can't understand why I would do this to myself. Though I did submit everything in September. That was probably the most stressful occasion of my life. Not including the millions of days that I've spent waiting for a decision. Still 6 more weeks to go.
Anyway, it took them about 3 weeks to process everything of mine, but it's finally all in!
Good luck everyone.

Hey I was just wondering, what if your application is not completed? Like lost in the mail or something? Do they let you send it again, or is it just like oh, sorry, change your app to RD?

Axess says that my application has been processed, but nothing else. Which is odd, since I sent in my ACT scores like a month ago, and my school report has been in for three weeks. I suppose I probably shouldn't start worrying for a few weeks yet...

@ gapyearstudent
you have to send in the common app + supplement + application fee (which is all online) by the deadline Nov 1 deadline (very hard deadline, and there were definitely students that messed it up). but for the rest of the stuff stanford will let you know if something is missing and give you a chance to resend it.

Guys, some things to keep in mind as we near decisions -
- Last year, decisions were known on the second friday of December, December 12, so this could mean that decisions come out December 11 (friday) this year.
- On the results thread that will be made, we need to agree NOT to start a whole argument about AA.
From reading last years thread, almost anything can and will happen with Stanford admissions.

I think it would be wise to have separate threads for results and discussion, so that next year's applicants can look back on the data without having to flip through the (inevitable, IMHO) AA arguments.
