Hi, I'm looking into my options for this Summer 2013 so I wanted to know if anyone has any advice, recommendations or reviews for the programs I've seen. I'll be a rising senior this summer, and I have minimal experience with Mandarin Chinese. So I'm looking for an intensive program, preferably with housing included, for 3-5 weeks this summer. I'd like to be in Shanghai since I have family friends there, but if you can recommend a good program anywhere in China or Taiwan, that works too!
That looks like a good list. I also wanted to recommend School Year Abroad (SYA) China. They have a summer program. Although it has been many years since my own SYA experience, it was wonderful and the program itself is well-known and is very highly regarded. The China program is in Beijing, but there's no reason you can't take a train or a short flight to see relatives in Shanghai at some point.
