Study abroad in two countries

Is it unusual to do one semester in one country and the next semester in another country, has anyone here done this, and will it be allowed?

My school has a program where you study in London in the spring of your sophomore year and then Shanghai in the fall of your junior year. But then again, studying abroad is a big thing... everyone is advised to study abroad at least one semester.

As long as there is a way to fit in all your required courses with the study abroad, I don't see why not... but that might be difficult if your school isn't actively helping you prepare for two semesters abroad.

Other input?

My daughter is designing her own year abroad, matching up two separate study abroad programs. She is looking at first semester 2008 in Spain and second semester in, most probably, Equador. Chile and Argentina are still on the radar screen, but Equador has a direct enrollment program that seems to suit her needs.

I would suggest speaking with the study abroad office at your college/university to see how this fits in with your overall studies.
