I know nothing about NYU so i can't comment but consider that London will cost you A LOT!!!!!!! If costs is an issue, bear it in mind. The dollar is really weak against the pound right now.
London and NY are so samey to me. I really don't like cities all that much (I guess you must do )
bear in mind if you study UK law this does not qualify you to practise law in the US.
