| Summer programs with App date after 3/1
Since the question comes up over and over again, it would be great if we could put together a list of programs that have application deadlines 3/1 or later. And even better would be if they were categorized. And best would be if a mod would "sticky" the thread so that it can be referred to later :-). If you know of a program, please add it here.
I will start:
Math
SIMUW (regional free 6 week math program) SIMUW - deadline 3/1 or later (depending on number of applicants)
Engineering -
Science Research -
Writing -
Languages -
College credit -
Other -

| 5/15 app deadline!
Here's a summer science program for middle school students to add to your list:
We are very happy to announce that the 7th annual 'Sensing Our World' summer science program for middle school students will again be offered on the campus of The University of Notre Dame. The week-long program is scheduled for July 9-13 and, should funding and the number of applications allow us to do so, we will replicate the program during the following week, July 16-20.
Our interdisciplinary program theme this year is "Global & Public Health", and will include presentors representing the colleges of Science, Engineering, and Arts & Letters, as well as several research centers. Information and downloadable application forms are available at http://www.nd.edu/~nismec/SOW.pdf.
We hope you will share this opportunity with administrators, teachers, parents, and students.

The Creative Writers' Workshop and the Duke Young Writers' Camp are still accepting applications for the summer of 2012.
Like the programs at Kenyon, UVA and Sewanee, the Creative Writers' Workshop offers intensive writing experiences for older high school students which is centered on one-on-one feedback. Many of the participants in the Duke Young Writers' Camp attend year after year thus creating a community of writers.
