My Son was selected as a delegate. I believe there will be an interview later on. We really don't know if this is selective/competitive or not. My neighbor did the girls state over 20 years ago- said it was fun. Wish we knew more about it as well.
Um... no. Just because you are selected by your school doesn't mean you are in fact going. Well at least for my state, CA.
Basically, I was selected by my counselor along with 3-4 other guys to apply. Then I was interviewed by the District Post Chairman and other men. They had 30 boys to choose from out of the entire city and only 5 of them got to go to Sacramento. I was one of them!!! XD
