Summer College 2013

So basically, next summer I will be a rising junior. I am currently at Summer@Brown for a four week course and I am loving every second of it. Writing is pretty much my passion, but I also enjoy the hummanities and world politics (avid MUNer). So although I love Summer@Brown, I want to try a different program next year. Some things I didn't particularly like about the program was that the only people really there at the same time as you were the people in your class/cluster, and new people arrived every weekend. I also wish that there was a little more structure, because I am not particularly that outgoing, and so the only people I really befriended were the people in my class because there were so many newbies all of the time. I want a program that pretty much starts at the same time for everyone, or has session 1/2 etc. A unique thing about Brown though is that you're able to do whatever you want on campus or off while you're not in class, and I really enjoyed that aspect. It gave me a glimpse of what it feels like to be on your own. I mean my friends go to some programs where the gates lock at 7 and curfew is like 9 pm, and you have to eat at certain times and you're not allowed to leave campus.
Sorry this is so lengthy, but I also want to mention that I've looked/heard of TASP and honestly, I do well in school but I don't believe I'd be productive, or even get accepted in the program. Basically what I'm looking for is the ideal summer program... one that I will have a great time in, befriend lots of new people, reach my full potential, and never forget. Thanks so much!
