I am planning to apply to DUKE TIP after finishing 9th grade. How is it academically? How was the overall experience? THANKS(:

I just found this and thought I'd respond.
My daughter has done Duke TIP Summer Studies the last two years.
Last summer she was at Duke and took a screenwriting class. She absolutely loved it. Her professor was very, very good.

Being away from home for 3 weeks and living and learning with other like-minded kids was hugely beneficial for her. She can't wait to go back to Duke this summer.

The program is very well-run and you are kept very busy!
