Baylor Summer Science Research Program 2013

Hi guys - I was looking at HSSSRP at Baylor for this summer and didn't find much on CC or the internet about the experience. Could any veteran HSSSRP'ers post about their experience? I noticed it was only about 4 weeks long - do you think this was long enough to research as in depth as you would have liked? What was the schedule like? Are there any organized activities with your fellow researchers? How competitive is it? I know only around 10 people get in... I'm not asking for you to chance me, just on whether or not it was worth your time and money. Thanks!

Note: I was at U of Iowa's SSTP program last year, which is similar to HSSSRP I believe, and that was a pretty good experience but pricey, so that's why I'm looking for similar ones with research that are a bit less expensive (:

I applied, just for funsies. My brother is at uni in Houston and I went with him over the summer to see him off. It was so incredibly hot and humid, but at least all the buildings had intense air conditioning.

I applied as well, but I don't think it is one of my top choices. Although it is pretty cheap.
