How long are the summer courses at Cornell, and how tough are they?

I took 2 veterinary medicine/animal science courses: 1 in fertilization, and 1 in captive raptor management.
You have the option of taking a 3 week or 6 week course (and you can do like i did and combine two 3 week courses to stay up there for 6 weeks)
The courses I took were difficult in my opinion, but that's because the vet med kids just had more difficult coursework tin general, but level of difficulty basically depends on what course you take. They are not easy, but not horribly horribly difficult.

i dont think they are very generous with aid but they need to be because its a lot of money to go to summer colllege...i applied for financial aid but didnt receive any :-/ your probably more likely to get aid if you are international..
its pretty easy to meet new people there because they host a lot of socials and events like dances etc. plus the people there are generally really nice

I was looking into the RABS program, but if they don't give out scholarships, then I won't apply...sniffle sniffle lol. It would be nice to explore Ithaca before applying to Cornell in the fall, oh wel....:/

no problem but u should definitely still apply because they might be able to get you some type of aid, but i don't think they give scholarships..its definitely worth still applying |

Perhaps I should! But if I don't get any aid, then I can't go
It's unlikely that I could get aid because I think on my parent's FAFSA paperwork, we don't exactly fall into a category where we would be in a position to receive much aid. My family spends most of our income on schools.

My family had 20K income last year, 16K the year before, and projected income this year is 30k... I know Cornell gives full scholarship to people of my income for college, but would they do the same for summer program? I really want to go...

Do you have any idea if the business program is difficult? Also i know that they admit you on a rolling basis but how much sooner than the deadline do the spots fill up?
thanks.

shph119-i think they will offer you some aid but i don't think cornell does full scholarship for summer programs.
cookieminster7-i don't think the business program was too difficult...i really only remember the architecture, vetmed, and nature & culture kids having really difficult classes..(especially the architect kids, i knew a girl who dropped out after the first day of classes)

Hi! I did the Hotel course last summer! Feel free to ask me any questions too!
I actually got some financial aid (after we appealed). Make sure to get your app in ASAP if you applying, since the financial aid is a rolling process (they can't give you money if they have already given out all the money). They do not have the same financial aid policies as Cornell U in terms of full ride under a certain income level, but it doesn't hurt to apply!!!
