I am thinking about these two majors in these schools. I want to go to medical school after undergrad to be a psychiatrist. I know that Stony Brook has a stronger science background, but I prefer the environment of Binghamton. Any suggestion please? Thank you.

not sure why you are comparing binghamton neuroscience vs. stonybrook psych. binghamton has a very good psych depatment and an especially good program in applied behavioral analysis -- Binghamton University - Applied Bahavior Analysis

but i have not idea what an appropriate undergrad background for becoming a psychiatrist is other than meeting normal pre-med requirements. be sure to look at how both schools do in terms of getting students in to medical school.
