SUNY Binghamton vs. SUNY Albany poly sci

I am a senior looking to apply to SUNY Binghamton/SUNY Albany/SUNY Geneseo with a 96-97 average grades. A bunch of extra curriculars, etc. I think i can get into any of them. But thats besides the point.

I was wondering what is the best for poly sci...my intended major. Does SUNY Binghamton's/SUNY Genseo's reputation and academics beat out Albany's location? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I might also want to do pre-law.

Hey, I'm a sophomore at Binghamton and hope I so useful info. Though I'm not a political science major, but political philosophy (called PPL here), I can tell you that our political science department was ranked pretty well by a study out of the London School of Economics of the top 200 poli sci programs in world.

Tough call but I'd have to give the edge to Albany especially if you are able to make use of the resources a state capital has to offer. Albany is the 3rd largest seat of government...behind DC and Sacramento. There are of course interships, networking opportunities, and Albany likes to support UAlbany (or so I'm told).

Like glypha said, Binghamton's Political Science program has been very highly ranked by a publication coming out of London.

Geneseo has an excellent Poli Sci Dept. with strong admission rate to law schools.

thanks! I guess I will just have to see which ones I will get accepted to, but I am sticking to Binghamton as my favorite because I like the academics and campus better, in general. Those stats helped though!
