Congrats to being admitted! ummm i think that EOP should have sent u a letter saying that you are admitted, the orientation dates, and to tell you about the mandatory summer program that you have to attend. I do not believe that anywhere else will say that u are an EOP student.
Im sorry i might have misread..........but ummm if you got into the the university directly then u wont be in EOP. You will be in EOP only as i mentioned before when u get the letter that u are admitted to it.

I don't know if they've sent out EOP decisions yet, actually. Did you send all your financial documentation in yet?

Ah. The "EEP" is something of an ESL-based program for students who have strong academic records, but a low score on the CR section of their SAT. It just means that you're tracked through the ESL pre-College Writing coursework. Congratulations!
(FWIW, it also means that you're academically overqualified for EOP.)

oh Chris, thanks for replying.
How about the toefl score. I knew I was not doing well on the CR, therefore I took the Toefl exam and i got 96 on the ibt test. So toefl socre doesn't help at all?
Now i don't have to go mandatory summer program like eop students do,right?
again, thanks for replying me, Chris.

TOEFL really doesn't help much for domestic students.
No, there's no summer program for EEP.

Haha congratulations everyone. Take advantage of the EOP program and reach your fullest potential ! Just because EOP requires a mediocre grade, it doesnt mean it's easy to be accepted to. Remember you are applying among 5000+ EOP applicants and there are only seats of 200 or less. Be glad that you've been accepted and don't slack in college as you have supposedly in high school. Good luck everyone

blazinreaper...ofcourse we need to be happy atleast we will get more attention and financial assistant than regular students...but some people are making it seem like eop students are all dumb, sometimes i feel embarrassed to say that i applied through eop...so sad, but anywayz if i get accepted to stonybrook then i wouldn't care what people say.
chris, if they send you the financial documents does it mean that the person is academically qualified for EOP?
