Majors/Minors

Is it possible to do a duel major in Biology and Chem . Or perhaps a major in one and a minor in the other? (The reason I ask is because the required classes overlap)
Also is it possible to do Biology major with a psych minor?

I don't know -- I'll check tomorrow -- but if you're interested in both, why not just major in Biochemistry?

And no, there is no Psych minor. Several psych-related ones, but no "psychology."

Lots of people double major in bio and psych, it's very do-able.

A double major in Bio and Chem would be tough, the lower division courses do overlap, but what are you going to do in your junior and senior years when they don't so much? I recommend looking at the Biochemistry major or Biology/Psych double major. Best way to decide your major is to consider what you enjoy studying and what you do well in without struggling all the time (sometimes is OK). You'll end up with a great GPA, possible honors, and doors that are wide open -- whether it's grad/professional school or a job. And because you're actually studying something you enjoy, your college days will be happy days!

For a departmental honors in biology, does one need to maintain a 3.5 gpa or higher in courses such as Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry or are they just referring to Biology courses?
