Common App Main: Wisconsin politics. About waking up in the capitol building the night the assembly passed Walker’s “budget” bill. It turned out really well. It’s definitely my favorite essay.
EC Short Answer: About my passion for karate and how it’s so integral to my identity now.
Why Swarthmore: It was good.
Teacher Recommendation #1:My math teacher. I had him for Algebra Two and Precalc. He loves me. I actually got to read it, he said lot’s of nice things about me. Specific examples included. Great.
Teacher Recommendation #2: My AP Lang teacher. She loves me. I got to read that one too. It was beautifully written and she talked about my love of learning. Amazing.
Counselor Rec: I’m guessing it was really good. She’s been such an advocate for me in other situations.
Additional Rec: My karate instructor and employer. I got to read it. It was hilarious. Great.
