I chose Swarthmore over ...

Now that decisions are in, I would be curious to learn of the other schools in the decision set of those who have elected to attend Swarthmore.

Conversely, if you did not chose Swarthmore, where are you going in the fall?

trees:

Glad to hear you made up your mind!

You have a somewhat unique perspective. I'm sure that the overall concept of Swarthmore is pretty familiar to you, but the details and trappings are so different than your surroundings.

As far as I can tell, all of my daughter's Swarthmore friends from California (inc. almost all of her roommates/housing block friends over the years) have really enjoyed their four years there. As far as I can tell, they are mostly all planning to stay on the East Coast, at least for the foreseeable future.

wait! let me retract something: I was rejected by Wellesley. (their loss, bah)
I wasn't thinking when I wrote that.
(I didn't really want to go to Wellesley...it just struck me as kind of bland after a while. And I was scared by reports of high depression rates there...so my essays and Why Wellesley especially kind of sucked...and I wasn't distraught by the rejection.)
