What background info, if any, do alum interviewers get before the actual interview?

My D has an interview with a Swarthmore alum on Saturday. She's already submitted the one-page pre-interview form. Does anyone know if the interviewer gets any other information about her from her application?

Also, any advice in general? This will be her first official college interview. Thanks in advance...

My D has an interview next week, and they asked her to bring a list of ECs so she wouldn't have to fill out a form at the interview. This will be on campus, though, which may be different than an off-campus one.

Besides the sheet you fill out, the only info they get is your name and address.

My daughter is a freshman at Swat this year. I remember how intense senior year of high school was regarding college admissions.

She did not interview with Swarthmore but was accepted anyway. I guess what I am trying to convey is to prepare for the interview but do no stress over it!

Good luck!

As an alum interviewer for Swarthmore here is what you get on a student before the interview:

The student's name and address

When the student shows up for the interview, they are supposed to have completed the one page form sent by the admissions office. It will have info on senior year courses and extra-curricular activities, but no info on SAT scores, etc. If they have a resume or "brag sheet," they will sometimes bring that, too, although it is certainly not necessary. I usually ask if I can take a minute or two before we start talking to review the sheet(s).

The admissions office also sends a bunch of general "How to do an interview" material to interviewers at the beginning of admissions season in the fall.

Reporting back... D enjoyed the interview and thought it went well. She really liked the interviewer, who apparently asked some fun/unique kinds of questions, in addition to some expected ones such as "What do you like about Swarthmore?". D brought her resume, but did not refer to it, and I think she got most if not all of her questions answered. She is excited about Swarthmore, but also very relieved to have that interview over with!

Wait. What? What is the "pre-interview form"? My S filled out the web page form for an interview on the swat web site. Received a confirmation and an interview appointment for this Monday. Perhaps there was more info in his confirmation. I'd better ask him when he gets home............communication.

Ok, I've learned what the "pre-interview" form is when my son interviewed yesterday. The Swarthmore e-mail interview confirmation suggested that the interviewee should arrive early to fill out the form. "bring your resume with you to save yourself some handwriting." It was a small form similar to the card you fill out when you tour. More info is required if you dont bring your resume. That's what they mean about more handwriting.
Son was very pleased with his interview.
