| Yes, the dance audition will be 2 combinations: one jazz, one ballet.
Regarding hotels, the Renaissance is a nice one, as is the Genesee Grande, just down the street from the Syracuse Stage. The Sheraton is lovely but pricier. There is also a very nice B&B about 10 minutes away called the Bed & Breakfast Wellington.
In Ithaca, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. It's less than 10 minutes from campus, and very nice.
Good luck with your auditions in January. Feel free to PM me if you need any further help. |

| My daughter is currently in the MT program. We've stayed at all of the hotels in town. The one that we liked that is most convienent to the theatre is called the Parkview. It's the closest and about a minute's walk. It's a seven minute walk (uphill)to the main part of campus.
There is also a nice (pub like) restaurant across the street from the theatre called Phoebes. I found this a nice place to hang out while I waited for my daughter to audition. The Parkview also has a little cafe where you can get a sandwich and wait. |

| I'm auditioning on Jan 19th as well. I think I am the AM session.
I'm staying at the sheraton alone and without a car it seems so I'm super nervous. Anyone else staying there? |

| Don't worry, you won't need a car. You are only a few blocks from both the theater and the main campus. Just be sure to bring WARM clothes, boots, hat and scarf. It's probably going to be cold, maybe snowy, definitely windy. |

| Recorded accompaniment for D.C. auditions? My D is auditioning for SU's MT program in Washington, DC in January, and recently got her confirmation email.
It doesn't mention needed recorded accompaniment for that audition. Does SU provide an accompanist even for offsite auditions?
Thanks,
NMR |

| I believe so. I'm also auditioning in DC on the 12th. Are you morning or afternoon session? I'm afternoon. I'm really excited, my first audition after a (well deserved) 2 month break. |

| freedom_fri911, she is in the afternoon session, so you two (and me, too!) will no doubt cross paths. PM me if you want to try to say hello. (We can figure out how to know who each other is. )She is very excited about auditioning for Syracuse because she LOVED the school when we visited last fall. Break a leg! |

| Weather alert -- just came back from a visit to Syracuse and so far this month they have had five feet of snow. Be prepared! (Actually it's raining today, so they may lose some of their accumulation.) |
