Anyone else going to Temple?

My D signed on with Temple last Thursday. She really loved this program, the students, Peter Reynolds and Philly. It was a last minute decision to apply and audition...she had already been accepted to another BFA program that she fully intended on going to. It's funny how things work out isn't it? So anyone else considering Temple or already decided to attend? My D would love to chat!

what I meant was...she was accepted to a BFA program...Temple is a BA with MT program. The way I wrote that made it seem like Temple was a BFA. Didn't want to confuse anyone!

Congratulations to you both! It must feel really good to have made the choice and be moving on. So jealous. D still has her last audition on Friday for OCU. Still waiting for a few schools to reply as well.

yay ModJuliet03! My D will be glad to know there's others out there!!! She was beginning to worry!!

When did you audition? D just got her room and roomate....where would you like to live? PM me if you would like to talk to my D...I'm sure she'd love to meet you before school starts!

Thanks CalMTMom....it is a good feeling to be done with that phase of college! Kinda bittersweet but relieving. Now comes the really hard part....paying for it!! All the best to you and your D!

I auditioned on the last date, Sunday, March 14th, and they called me on the Tuesday after. I heard that they only accepted a few girls, so I guess the rest of the freshmen are male...I wonder how many total people they typically accept.
However, since I'm a transfer, I won't be starting out as a freshman, although I probably will be in quite a few of your daughter's classes still. But I can't wait to meet her! Has she joined the Temple MT Concentration group on Facebook yet?
And I have NO idea where I want to live! When was your daughter accepted? I haven't even looked at housing yet!

Mod...we were there the last day too! My D was the tiny blonde with long curly hair who was in the 2nd dance group!! She was one of the last to audition. Yes..they called her on Tuesday too! and yes..she has joined the MT facebook group! She will be living in Peabody...it's dorm style but it's right next to the theater and the cafeteria. So excited for you both!!!

Housing is so easy.....everything is done online and you choose where you want to live. Most of the good suites are filled but my D wanted a traditional dorm for the first year..especially one near the theater and the cafeteria. You can search for a roommate that might be a good match for you either on the Temple Facebook page or via an external website. PM me if you need the info.
At the morning audition session, Peter told us that the program will allow him to take up to 18 MT students but he never has. It's usually around 15-16. I hadn't heard about him taking mostly boys this year...we only know one boy who auditioned and we haven't heard yet if he got in.

Hi parkbench! Congrats to your son!! My D really loves this program...she has turned down her "dream" BFA school to attend Temple. Go figure!!

Hi kaitrin! Are you on the Temple MT concentration facebook page? If so my D is already there!! She's very excited to be part of this up and coming program! We're headed down to Temple on Saturday to see Rent...should be fun!!!
