Yeah... I actually think they are updating our AIS. I should really be on step 4 since a decision has already been made although it is not shown on my AIS. But, who knows...

CONGRATS alchemist5!!! I'm still on step 3. Mays doesn't handle admission questions. Did they say why you are still on 3?

thanks... blackag
CS department advisors were very helpful... they replied me three times in a same day... first they told me they were still working on my application...... after one hour they told me i should be hearing very soon.... and after one hour and so i got another email from the senior advisor congratulating me.... he told me i have been accepted and they would notify about acceptance to admission and registration office from where they'd update in system..... then i can register and all.....

blackag, may be u r in too because we both have almost same stats...they takes some time to move to step 4 from step 3 even if u r accepted........
the funny thing is that i'm still on step 3 even after i have been admitted

Congratulation!
for the rest... My message got an answer...

"Transfer applicant reviews do not take place until all the applications submitted for each department are complete and the departments are ready to review them. The reviews are taking place now. Based on past experience, most transfer applicants will not get a decision letter until some time in June. The first notice of an admissions decision should come on your AIS page."

yeah I was at the conference. I was surprised there was only about twenty of us. Only two mechanical engineering students too. Good luck this summer.

Well... I've been denied. It sucks but life goes on. I'm not sure if I have the time, patience or mental stamina to wait and see if I get in after they review my spring grades. Best of luck to all that are still waiting, you guys made this whole process tolerable.

Blackag: Did you actually get a letter telling you you've been denied or did you just give up on waiting? Even if I do get accepted at this point I'll probably decline. I doubt they manage their 46,000 students a whole lot better than they manage their applicants.

So I asked via AIS why it's been over two weeks since a decision was made for me and I still haven't heard anything.

Their response was to tell me that a decision has been made but not yet mailed (wow thanks I already knew that!).

So I asked if they could possibly give me an indication of WHEN it might get mailed. They copy pasted the same response, telling me that it hasn't been mailed yet.

Does anyone else find that ridiculous? They're ignoring me...

I have worked for a University before in Maryland. College Admissions is an incredibly difficult job. You know you are changing a kids life. You know it is hard to receive a rejection.
TAMU received over 26000 applications in freshman admissions for 8100 spots.
I have no idea of how many Transfer admission applications there are, I am sure thousands. It is even harder for transfer student admissions because you have to review their college transcripts and it isn't so cut and dry as "he is in the top 15, has a 4.0 gpa, and active in community service, etc"
I am sorry you are having to wait for the answer to your transfer admission. I know it is difficult to wait. I also know it is not an easy chore to balance the number of students at a huge University. Just give them some grace. You probably have no idea what is involved in their job. I am positive they are not making you wait on purpose - "Hey, lets dangle Inter89 a little longer..." unless you have been a royal pain for them, even then I believe they are a little use to dealing with impatient applicants.
Best of luck -
I truely hope you find out very soon.
But think of the freshman student that may have been waiting for 9 months for their answer and are finding out now.
It is a waiting game.
