Talked to admissions today; lady said they have rolling admission. Asked again to confirm and she again stated rolling admission and added "decisions do not all go out at once" and "It could be a week or three weeks depending on when your specific application is finished being reviewed." So it looks like we might be hearing from them at different times.
that's what i said a few post ago. earliest is next week. Depend on which department you applied for and when they finished review the applications. Decisions will be at different time for each department. Some departments might be done next week. Some won't be till May. AAAAHHHHH. If they accept bribe for deciding early, I am willing to PAY!!!!
"Step 3: Review Application Credentials [WE HAVE REVIEWED YOUR APPLICATION AND A DECISION HAS BEEN MADE. HOWEVER, A DECISION WILL NOT BE POSTED ON THIS PAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE GONE COMPLETELY INSANE FROM WORRYING. THEREFORE, YOU WILL REMAIN ON STEP THREE UNTIL THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND.]"
I feel like a dumb***. I read the first part of nate's post then I look at yours blackag and I went onto AIS thinking that there could have possibly been a decision made lol... <<<< newb.
Well... I guess nobody has heard anything yet. I really think that the first wave of decisions are due next week. I say that only because I looked at last years post on this site. I also talked to an admission rep. at TAMU while I visited College Station for the Maroon White game (despite the crummy weather) and I was disheartened by what he said. He told me that 75 transfer will be selected for Mays but between 700-800 will apply! That is sobering.
Yes mays is very hard to get into. At a transfer session I was told you should apply for business hoping to get general studies. (ie 1st choice mays / 2nd choice general studies)
This wait is stupid....I hope someone from admissions reads this and realizes, "We ARE a bunch of jackasses for making these transfers the ass-end of all the admission decisions. I guess we should actually look at the applications now... "
Don't know mitch8002. But I know for a fact that the Political Science Dept. is not anywhere as hard to get into as Mays and Dwight. Mays and Dwight are national recognized and ranked but, TAMU's Political Science Dept. is not as well recognized which is good if you're applying to the Political Science Dept. as an external transfer. Just be thankful you're not applying to Mays. From what I've been told is you need at least a 3.7 GPA + Good Essay(s) + All courses fininshed on degree track one including all A's and B's (which I have not finished all) + God* = Admission into Mays.
* Just through that last one in there for good measure.
