Has anyone that applied for Fall 09 transfer student (not freshman) got accepted yet? I know application started on Jan 1 --> Mar 15. Anyone know the process if they will answer as first come first serve or all at once?
the application deadline is tomorrow. After that they send all the info to the separate colleges in the university and they make their decisions. After that they will send out letters on their decisions. Most people will get their decisions at the end of march early april.

Wow. That seems a bit soon. I would say early april if your lucky (Kids who exceed expectations of the admissions office). Late April if your an average student.
The admissions advisor told me that May would be a good time to get an acceptance/denial. I dunno though, that seems late.
Well every person I talk to gives me a different answer but the general consensus was late March early April. Of course, they told me that I would get my UIN number no more than 2 weeks after I submit my application. It was submitted January 1 got my UIN March 3rd.
I also applied to A&M as a transfer. College of Engineering with a 3.8 GPA. Everyone I talk to up there seems to give me different answers. Two counselors and one lady that handles admissions have said late March or early April. Two other counselors and a different admissions lady said early to late may. One lady told me June. I don't think anyone up there really knows. Will post when I hear something.
I don't believe that there is a auto admit for transfers. Anyways im new to this site although i have been watching for about a month. Im a transfer applicant , does anyone know just how competitive Mays business school really is?
In general. To have any chance at all, you must have completed most of your degree track, table 1. (indicator courses). Along with a 3.7+ GPA and some pretty good essays. A friend of mine attended a local transfer fair at my CC a few months ago and he told the consoler his stats, 3.85 GPA, 7 indicators done. The guy said that he has seen people with 4.0's get denied, it kinda discouraged him from applying to business but he went ahead and did so anyways. Hes currently under review like myself. Ill let you know if he gets in or denied.
Hmm, I don't know why I was under the impression that there was auto admit for transfers. I really thought I read it somewhere but could only find it for freshmans in the aggie answers. Oh well, I applied to Biology. Don't think there will be THAT much competition there as opposed to Engineering.
