Hi, I am a Freshman considering transferring to A&M in the Spring, but am not sure if I meet the requirements. It says I need 24 hours of graded coursework to transfer, however, I have 21 credits from high school AP/dual credit and am taking 15 hours now. Can these 15 hours also count towards that 24 or since I have not completed these classes yet, they do not count?
First of all your AP credits dont count as hours on your transcript they just count the class as CRED I believe. Secondly I know UT will count the hours you are currently taking when you apply if you dont meet the requirements, but not sure about A&M.
I asked the texas A&M biomedical engineering advisor and he said that they do count towards the 24 credit limit, but you MUST have the AP scores sent to A&M from collegeboard.
I was told by mechanical and aerospace engineering that they don't count AP scores as hours toward the minimum requirement (and I achieved a 5 on all my tests). But email them or call and ask for yourself because most of the time the advisers give different answers.
