TAMU honors/scholarship questions

So my counselor submitted a request for me to join the Honors program. I know it is by invitation only, but I was wondering when they inform you as to whether you were accepted into the Honors program as I received an acceptance packet today.

I was also wondering when they inform you of scholarship money you receive, since nothing about that came in the mail either.

From the Honors Webpage:

Honors Eligibility
Any student who has earned a 3.5 cumulative Grade Point Ratio (GPR) at Texas A&M may enroll in an Honors course.
First-semester freshmen may enroll in an Honors course if they meet either of the following criteria:

Be in the top 10% of their high school graduating classes and have a combined score of at least 1250 on the verbal and math portions of the SAT (with at least 570 in both sections) or a combined score of 28 on the ACT (with 27 in English and math).

So it looks like you don't apply to Honors as a freshman but if you meet the criteria you are Honors-eligible and can take honors classes, live in Honors housing, etc.

Check your scholarship status in Howdy Portal- MY RECORD tab. I think we hear in the Spring.
