Transfer Requirements

I have 21 dual credit hours from high school, and about to complete 15 more at a community college this fall.
What exactly is the requirements for general studies, it says "at least 28 hours since graduation from high school", do those dual credits count?

Does anyone have any experience of getting accepted as a transfer? Did you complete the hour requirements for that major and did you complete all the courses on that track list?

Hi nokkitt, welcome to the forums.

From this site: Dual Credit it says that "To have dual credit courses transfer to Texas A&M, the student must submit to Texas A&M University an official college transcript that lists the completed college courses." I would believe, that, since the credit will be on the college transcript, it should count. I would give them a call on Monday to verify.

Regarding your question about getting track list courses completed, if you do not meet the requirements for the major in which you apply to, they may hold your application and allow you to send in a transcript after the semester has ended, providing that you have completed the rest of the required courses. I was missing one class from the BME required classes when I applied for the Fall, and was essentially denied admissions.

So would it be possible for me to get accepted in general studies with 36 hours of credit for fall 2010? I haven't completed the degree track in the major I want as of the end of fall 2009.. missing two or three classes.
