I do not know my 4.0 scale GPA...

My school gives a 6.0 for AP class 100's
and a 5.0 for level class 100's.

my school gpa: 4.62/5

i have no idea what my 4.0 scale gpa would be =(

I dont know if you know this but based on what you put down you are an auto admit. They have a top 25% 1300 SAT Auto admit. As far as engineering goes I'd give you about a 90-95% chance. (I got into business with a slightly better sat but a worse class rank)

not auto admit, have to have a >600 on reading to be auto admit
I would say with that math score you would be an easy early review admit.

Assuming all the classification of classes are similar in most application. I don't know why student has so much trouble figure out their ~ GPA out of different matrix. It is a simple basic algebra solving "X" equation. For example:
If your school highest weight / unweighted = 5.0
You score = 4.62.
What will your score be in a scale of 4.0?

4.62 / 5.0 = x / 4.0
x = 4.62 x 4 / 5.0 = 3.696

To make sure your formula is correct: The ratio of 4.62/5.0=0.924
3.696/4.0= 0.924. So your answer is accurate.

#ucla011: Well I don't know much about grading system in USA but I'm certain that simple formula is wrong and so unfair when converting from one country's scale to another's one. We can't even compare GPA of one man from school A to one of another person from school B, even if those are on the same scale. We should leave that for the school.

You'll be accepted academically shortly, with your Math score (which is awesome!) they realize that you aren't going to do so hot on the Critical Reading, which I could have gleaned by reading your post. =) Texas A&M isn't so selective with admission, as my parents (both graduated from College Station) say, they'll be happy to take your money, and Highway 6 runs both ways.

However, they are pretty selective in handing out money. I've had several "full ride" offers so far and the only amount I'm guaranteed by A&M is $14,400. You can check out my credentials on this message board if you're interested.

I wouldn't say that Hank McCoy.
At least with NMS stuff, they guaranteed me at least $30,000 a year.

You'll most likely get in, I would worry more about scholarships

a&m doesn't even cost 30k per year.

i would say 14400 is a pretty generous offer. not a full ride, but a very good chunk covered!
