Question about transferring summer course from community college

I have finished my 1st yr at A&M and this summer I took a History class at the community college near my home. I requested the transcript be sent to A&M and it looks like it has but for the grade for this class on A&M's unofficial transcript it says "TA" - what does that mean and why doesn't it have the actual grade I received? Does it take some time for someone to review this and then the grade will appear? Thanks for any help!

If I had to guess I would guess it would mean transfer/transcript accepted. Classes taken elsewhere will not count towards your A&M GPA it's pass/fail so I don't know if they actually put the grade or not.

I'm a transfer that will be going to TAMU in the Spring. The Econ advisor showed my official classes that transferred to TAMU and the T, she said stood for transfer. And the second letter was the grade. So I would see TA for classes I made an A in and TB for classes I made a B in. If you didn't make an A in the class, I wouldn't know how to explain it. I was actually happy because, even though my GPA will start over a TAMU, at least my transcript will recognize my good grades.

My bf is trying to get into general come spring bcuz Mays doesn't accept Spring applicants.. but we dnt know if they will let ppl in under general in the Spring because of space..and not being able to put Mays as his 1st choice

Ok this all makes sense - thanks. I did get an A so TA makes sense.

nbeezy, I'm trying to get into Economics or Agribusiness. I'm not sure which. Agribusiness lets you take Mays classes, but I would rather have an Econ degree. I talk like I'm sure I'm getting in because I have a 3.9 and will be really surprised if I don't get into either. If I were him, I would go for Agribusiness or Gen. Studies. Because they both should let you take the fresh. & soph. business courses. Mays is hard to get into, and if your bf gets accepted into either Agrib. or Gen. Studies, I think he has to take 24 hours at TAMU and have less than 70 total hours to be eligible to apply for Mays. So essentially, he will have to be at TAMU a year before he can apply as an internal transfer.
