The best acting program

Hello, I'm graduating with my AA from a community college in florida. I have been accepted to the BFA programs at AMDA, as well as UCF. I was wondering what is the best program to apply to, based on tuition as well as the amount of stage/film time the program offers. Thank you!

I would recommend UCF anyday over AMDA. I don't want to sound negative, but it is hard not to sound negative when all you hear are very negative things about AMDA. I'm not saying AMDA is a bad school, but its reputation lures me away from their "BFA" program. At UCF, you will receive lots of performance opportunities, and it is accrediated. You know your degree will mean something in the end. You won't simply be paying for classes that won't send you anywhere, which is what I fear about AMDA. UCF is also a very good school all around, so I wouldn't give that acceptance up for AMDA anyday. In the end, it's totally your decision, but I would consider AMDA's reputation.

I agree--You want to be sure to get a degree from a regular program. AMDA is great for those who already have a degree or for students less focused on academic rigor. Besides, UCF is cheap if you are a FL resident ( and cheaper to live in than NYC) with connections to Disney and you can always go to NYC when you are done.
