I am considering auditioning for the BFA Acting program at Elon, and I was wondering what Elon is really like. Is the acting program looked down on compared to the musical theater program? Are the students nice? What is campus life like? I was also wondering if anyone had any audition tips/what to expect.
We toured Elon about two years ago. It is probably the most beautiful campus we have ever visited. Even the dining halls were fabulous. Super-friendly students constantly stopped to ask if we needed help. They were investing a lot in the campus in new dorms, facilities, etc. Elon was eliminated from my daughter's list only because their merit aid was not as generous as we need to make it work. We didn't get in close enough to see if the support for the drama dept was as strong as that for musical theatre. The fact that they only audition on campus was somewhat of a deterrent as well.
